Earl F. Norris
Earl F. Norris (13 March 1920 - 31 October 2001) was a long-time breeder of Siberian Huskies in Alaska. His kennel actually began in Idaho in 1936; in 1942 he moved to Alaska and began breeding Alaskan Malamutes. In 1946 Natalie Jubin arrived in Anchorage with two male Siberians from Eva B. Seeley's Chinook Kennels and joined forces with Earl. That was the true beginning of "Alaskan Kennels" and its Anadyr bloodline.
Norris bred and raced Siberians in Alaska for over half a century. He was an organiser of the first Fur Rendezvous in Anchorage in 1946, a rookie in the Iditarod Trail race when he was 65, a race marshal, promoter and participant in dogsled races on four continents.
